(…) but we said: no before, no after, no theater, no drama. Rather concerned by the instant, by each being in its place, by its relation or the refusal of a relation to the other. (…) Martina Büttner‘s brushstroke does not embellish these games, it does not render an indecent fragility and especiialy not a tender look that could be given. Since it is a matter of showing a psychological process, the technique of painting is neutral, its asperities, its colors laid without burr, just the nervousness of a consequent effort.
